Baton twirling is a sport that teaches leadership qualities, grace, poise, good sportsmanship, dedication, sacrifice, teamwork and discipline. The values young athletes obtain from baton will remain with them throughout life. Baton creates many wonderful memories to be cherished forever.

The Goldette Twirling Team was established in 1987, by Missy Morrison Koenke in Ormond Beach, Florida. The Goldettes have been DMA state, regional & national champions for several years. This twirling group is the reigning DMA "Most Outstanding Show & Specialty Team" in the nation. Several of the girls have won individual National titles:

• Kourney Henken is the reigning Miniature Majorette Princess of America
• Amanda Koenke is Wee Major Princesses of America
• Shannon McFarland is the reigning Pre-Teen Majorette Queen.
